Daddy Of Mine

 DADDY OF MINE

BIGGER THAN LIFE THIS SPECIAL MAN

HE CAN DO ANYTHING, YES HE CAN

A RUNNING PONY CARRYING ME

WELL, REALLY IT'S ONLY DADDY'S KNEE

A DOLLHOUSE BUILT WITH LOVE AND CARE

A RESCUE FROM A BAD NIGHTMARE

GIVING HUGS WHEN HE WALKS THROUGH THE DOOR

THAT'S THE BEST THING DADDY IS FOR

A DENTIST WHEN A TOOTH STARTS TO WIGGLE

TICKLING ME 'TIL I LET OUT A GIGGLE.

COUNTING MY EYES OVERGROW WITH HAIR

HE BECOMES A BARBER, HOW UNFAIR!

JUMPING CURBS, GRASPING ONTO HIS HAND

LOOK HOW SOFTLY AND SAFELY I LAND

MAKING UP STORIES FOR ME TO KEEP

AND DREAM OF WHEN I GO TO SLEEP

I'VE GROWN UP NOW BUT I KEEP IN MY HEART

THESE MEMORIES FROM THE VERY START

AND I'LL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE FUN THAT I HAD

WITH THIS SPECIAL MAN I CALL MY DAD.
