Everybody Else Does It...Why Can't I?

EVERYBODY ELSE DOES IT
WHY CAN'T I?

Everybody else does it, why can't I?
Laugh at life and love and what care I.

Everybody else can climb
The highest mountain top
Always looking for a
Place to stop.

But everybody's not like me
You're all that I can ever see
Nobody else can love you
Half as much as me.

Everybody else does it, why can't I?
Kiss and run and never do they cry.

Everybody else can fly
To Jupiter or Mars
Searching for their unknown
Far off stars.

But everybody's not like me
You're all that I can ever see
Nobody else can love you
Half as much as me.

Can't you see that everyone is searching
But in vain.
For someone to share their life through
Happiness and pain.
I want you not just today,
But all life through
Nobody else can love you
Like I do.
