Needles and Pins

Needles and Pins

Needles and pins,

Patterns and lace.

Lie all around,

Cluttering up my whole place!

Cutting and fitting,

Letting out seams.

Why can't my figure,

Be like in my dreams?

Satin and denim,

Which one to choose?

This cute little purse?..

Or these darling suede shoes?

After the very last

Stitch has been sewn,

I try it on ....Gads!!

Again I have grown!!!

Off I now go,

On a wild shopping spree.

And buy the same thing,

In a size to fit me!!!

Never again will I

Sew for myself

I'll put all my

Needles and Pins on a shelf.
