Teachers

Precious little gifts of God.
A part of you and me.
First ventured from the warmth of home,
To learn the A B C's.

You blew a nose and tied a shoe,
And listened to thier tattles.
And taught them how to get along,
And refereed thier battles.

They found out that the alphabet
Had sounds as well as shapes.
And that when an A is by a P,
If you add an E that is ape.

God gave you the gift of teaching,
His word and love to them.
One day they will all look back,
And remember the things you taught them
