The Beauty Parlor

(picture of John in drag!)

The Beauty Parlor

Styrofoam heads,

And wigs galore.

Rollers and clips,

Hair on the floor.

Coffee pot perking,

Up comes the sun,

To greet me on mornings,

When my hair is done.

Nail polish flowing,

Scissors in gear,

Suds bubbling over,

It all is so dear.

Conversation and gossip,

About so and so.

Ladies -in-waiting,

Who've let their hair go.

Wave set and pin curls,

Short hair and long.

To each his own...

Or so goes the song.

I love all these things...

Comb outs and sets.

It's a mad world of beauty,

The older you get.
